Open Call for Muslim Teachers & Curriculum Writers

We are asking Muslim educators, parents, writers, scholars and imams to join forces with us to bring forth a comprehensive life curriculum for our children.

We are asking you to share your resources both physical and intellectual to help us develop lessons and units of study that can be used in homeschools, Islamic schools, weekend schools, and in the everyday Muslim home.

What we’re looking for: 

1) SEND US YOUR EXISTING EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES AND LET US HELP YOU REPACKAGE AND SHARE WITH A GLOBAL MUSLIM COMMUNITY. 

We’re looking for unit plans and/or lesson plans in the following subject areas that are grounded in Islamic thought and use resources and the context of Islam explicitly to teach:*
  1. Ethics/Adab/akhlaq 
  2. Islamic Sciences (Aqeedah, Basic Fiqh)
  3. History
  4. Natural Sciences 
  5. English (Literature, grammar, writing, reading)
  6. All Humanities
If you have a great lesson or unit that doesn't explicitly use Islamic thought but is in line with an Islamic worldview, send it to us and we can possibly workshop it with you!

*Please make sure your submissions are in line with the basic principles of education listed in our vision.

2) JOIN OUR TEAM OF CURRICULUM DEVELOPERS TO PRODUCE FRESH NEW MATERIAL TO ENGAGE OUR YOUTH. 

Interested in Collaboration to Build new resources with our team?

We are looking to develop a network of curriculum writers, educators, and experts in Islam to develop new materials for our children. If you're interested in working with our focus groups around the world to develop new material, please submit a resume that specifies which age and subject you would be interested in developing resources for.

3) SHARE YOUR FAVORITE RESOURCES THAT YOU ALREADY USE LIKE BOOKS, VIDEOS, SONGS, GAMES, ETC. 

Share what books, videos, songs, games, etc. that you use to teach your children or students about Islam or how to be a Muslim today. We hope to develop structured lesson plans with your suggestions! You can share a photo and blurb of your suggestions with us via Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag #MuslimTeach or send us an email with the subject line: Muslim Teach resources.

Work  with the project leads to develop new content, assist in curriculum development and lesson planning, assist in research and publication project, and network with the leading thinkers in Islamic education and sciences across the globe.
  • Undergraduate students and/or older preferred
  • Time commitment: 5-8 hours/week availability 
  • Basic social media literacy (Facebook, Instagram, GSuite, Squarespace and graphic design is a plus)
  • Fluent in English written and spoken (Arabic is a plus)
  • Educational Background in education, the social sciences or Islamic Sciences is preferred but not a requirement 
  • Ability to telecommute
